Maria Naylor Surgical Coordinator & Personal Assistant – Marie is Dr. Samudrala’s Scheduling Coordinator and Personal Assistant. From the initial visit she sits down and walks a patient through what they need to do and what they can expect before and after surgery. Maria lets them know more about the procedure providing them with a brochure about the surgery so they can take it home and go over it with their family.
Maria is also responsible for getting authorization for the procedure from the patient’s insurance company and scheduling pre-operative appointments. Patients receive a telephone call the day before surgery to make sure they have everything they need the day of the surgery.

Maria earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications and has worked in the medical industry for over 7 years. She previously worked for an orthopaedic surgeon in Beverly Hills for 5 years as a personal assistant and office supervisor and has been working for Dr. Samudrala for over 2 years.

Maria says “What I like most about my job is helping patients from the very beginning and seeing them through surgery. I find it rewarding to have helped a patient get back to their old lifestyles and get them moving again. I take pride in my job and treat every patient as if though they were my parents or relatives and help them with whatever I can.”

Born in El Salvador and raised in Los Angeles, she speaks fluent Spanish. She enjoys spending time with her family when not helping patients and Dr. Samudrala.
